Assembly Bill No. 530--An Act relating to the judicial system; requiring the court administrator to report upon and make recommendations to the supreme court regarding administrative procedures employed in the courts; providing that judges and personnel of the courts must follow recommendations regarding such procedures made by the court administrator and approved by the supreme court; requiring the judges, clerks and employees of certain courts to provide records, papers and information requested by the court administrator within a certain period; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

Assemblyman Williams requested that Assemblyman Amodei's remarks be entered in the Journal.
I first came to know "Big James," as we called him in the neighborhood, as a result of my friendship with his youngest son, Kevin. Their house was located a couple of blocks away from my parents' house. From growing up in the same neighborhood and hanging out with his youngest son--who he was gracious enough to loan his Blazer to for us to drive to high school in style--let it be said that he was a super spouse, a heck of a father and a super neat friend.

Amend the bill as a whole by renumbering sec. 2 as sec. 3 and adding a new section designated sec. 2, following section 1, to read as follows:
"Sec. 2. On the effective date of this act, the Chief Clerk of the Assembly shall prepare and transmit a copy of this act to the Vice President of the United States as the presiding officer of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, each member of the Nevada Congressional Delegation and the National Osteoporosis Foundation.".
